Guided Rock Hunting Expeditions

Discover Lake Superior’s quietest corners on two intimate outings, where river mouths meet the open water in sweeping vistas, woods frame the shore in deep greens, and bluff-top overlooks invite photographers to pause and capture the view. Our Half-Day Hunt (4 hours) lets you choose from five distinct stretches between Perry’s Landing and the Mouth of the Two Hearted, each with its own character, stone story, and changing scenery—from intimate forested approaches to wide-open river mouth panoramas.

For those who want to linger, the Full-Day Expedition (7 hours) allows you to choose between 2–3 secluded beaches where the cobble is rich, the pace is unhurried, and agates surface from the surf-washed stones at your feet, all backed by quiet woods and elevated viewpoints perfect for scenic and shoreline photography.
